Iran carried out a new round of retaliatory missile and drone strikes against U.S. and Israeli targets across West Asia on Thursday, marking the 83rd offensive in its ongoing “Truthful Promise 4” operation, according to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The IRGC said it deployed short-, medium- and long-range missiles along with armed drones to hit strategic sites, including oil storage facilities in Ashdod and an Zionist military base in Mada’in.
U.S. installations were also struck, with impacts reported at Al Dhafra and Al Udeid air bases, as well as at a military intelligence center and fuel depots used for combat aircraft.
In a statement, the IRGC said its forces also struck maintenance and repair hangars for transport aircraft and drones at Ali Al Salem air base, along with Patriot missile system facilities at Sheikh Isa base.
The latest barrage comes after the United States and Israel conducted a joint operation in late February that killed Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Tehran has since vowed to retaliate against every offensive with targeted strikes on U.S. bases, embassies and positions across the region.
The escalating confrontation has raised concerns over energy security and political stability in the Middle East, with ripple effects reaching global markets.
